Age Rating and Content Responsibility at Actionbound
Actionbound is a platform that enables people to create interactive experiences – such as digital scavenger hunts, learning games, guided tours, or team events.
The app itself contains no advertising, no predefined stories, no violence, and no hidden mechanics. Everything that happens in Actionbound is created by our community of creative users.
Content from the Community
Most public Bounds are created in schools, educational institutions, associations, or organizations – typically within educational or cultural contexts.
As a result, the majority of content is educational, factual, and respectful.
Private individuals can also publish public Bounds. Clear rules apply here as well: no content that is harmful to minors may be published – in particular, no pornographic or erotic material, no insults, and no otherwise illegal content.
In short: Actionbound is a space for community-driven, creative, and respectful experiences.
Reporting Function
The Actionbound app includes a reporting function that allows users to flag content they consider inappropriate.
Every report is reviewed individually. In practice, such reports occur extremely rarely – on average, we receive fewer than ten reports per year.
This shows that the likelihood of encountering problematic content in Actionbound is very low.
Why This Works So Well
Actionbound is a tool – not a social network.
Our users create learning experiences, city tours, games, and explorations – usually with a clear educational or community-focused purpose.
We rely on the responsibility of our community while maintaining clear structures to prevent misuse.
This combination has proven effective for many years.
Age Guidance & Responsible Use
We firmly believe that children and teenagers should not use digital services unsupervised.
Actionbound has been rated 12+ by Apple for most countries.
This rating does not indicate the presence of inappropriate content – it simply reflects that users can create and share their own materials.
According to data protection and privacy laws (such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, COPPA, and equivalent frameworks in Canada), children may only use digital services with the consent of parents, guardians, or responsible institutions, depending on national legislation.
Typically, this consent requirement applies to children under the age of 13 to 18, depending on the country.
When Actionbound is used in schools or supervised educational settings, the educational institution acts as the data controller and assumes responsibility for data protection and oversight.
In these cases, individual parental consent is generally not required, as the activity takes place under institutional supervision.
Our app is designed to be accessible even to younger users – but it unfolds its full potential through collaborative use with educators, parents, or other responsible adults.
This ensures that Actionbound remains safe, inclusive, and educational, fostering shared experiences that bring generations together.
